What would happen if you woke up tomorrow with no fingers?
For singers: what would happen if you woke up with no voice?
I’m comforted by the fact that I could (and would) still create genuine, and meaningful music. Fortunately, music making isn’t dependant on fingers, the piano, the local club, or the international jazz festival.
“As long as hearts are beating, music will be created.”
I’m paraphrasing something I heard Teilhard Frost (from Sheesham and Lotus) say during one of his performances a few weeks ago. It was an inspiring reminder about the nature of music and music making.
Lets not neglect our beating hearts: If you woke up with no fingers, how would your music making change?
